Chapter 53: Spryly Riding Mo Ling

Qin Ning greeted her and Qianhe Liyou would naturally no longer ignore his existence.
However, she did not look at Qin Ning directly and just nodded, her eyes still on the animal she named Mo Ling.

Feeling ignored, Qin Ning’s aloof gaze held a trace of resentment, but it soon disappeared.
He straightened his back straighter, unwilling to show a sign of embarrassment.

“Empress, this consort retires!” He had obviously become a redundant existence here, so why should he stay here!

Qin Ning was an extremely proud person.
Even though he was a man, his status, family background, talents, and skill in martial arts were all outstanding.  His arrogance had substance backing it and no one had ever despised his existence before.
Even if he acted indifferently or arrogantly, he would always be pursued and always at the center of attention, never once neglected.
And this had once even included the Supreme Empress, but he had never cared at that time.
But now that he had started caring, that gaze was no longer focused on him, the Empress instead treating him more indifferent than he did, without so much as a word, truly letting him understand what neglect was!

Qianhe Liyou simply waved her hand to indicate that Qin Ning was free to leave and started to study Mo Ling’s fur.
This fur was simply the best, black and glossy, soft and delicate, and it felt very good.

“Mo Ling, be good…” Qianhe Liyou comfortably stroked its head, then jumped over onto its back, her actions very chic and smooth.

Mo Ling was uneasy for a moment, but stoon calmed down, allowing Qianhe Liyou to ride on its back.
Obviously, it  had recognized Qianhe Liyou’s existence.
Animals were spiritually sensitive and naturally respected the strong.

Qin Ning had already left the scene, but could still vaguely hear Qianhe Liyou’s words.
This produced a strong feeling of jealousy in his heart.
He was jealous of a beast, who would believe it!

Behind Qin Ning, Qianhe Liyou’s gaze finally turned to him, but all he saw was an aloof figure, “Mo Loing, there is a saying that one’s character determines one’s destiny.
I wonder if you also think so?”

Even if Mo Ling understood this comment,  the beast would not be able to answer.
Qianhe Liyou did not expect one.
She retracted her gaze and moved her body gently, beginning to concentrate on controlling Mo Ling.

Mo Ling’s speed was getting faster and faster and it seemed to finally surpass the speed of wind.
Qianhe Liyou seemed to be entirely integratedwith Mo Ling, one person and beast were in tacit understanding.
As long as Qianhe Liyou’s intentions changed, Mo Ling seemed to be able to immediately sense it, moving along with Qianhe Liyou’s mind, an extremely miraculous occurrence.

Eventually, this wildly galloping person and beast unknowingly reached the cliff on the borders of the hunting ground.
Seeing a thousand pounds hanging by a thread[1], Mo Ling neighed and halted on the edge of the cliff.

“Tsk tsk, little thing, you deliberately tried to frighten me.” Qianhe Liyou patted Mo Ling’s head, softly scolding Mo Ling.

Mo Ling, with a defiant and unwilling to concede expression, rocked its head back and forth, taking another step towards the cliff..

“Little thing, you can keep going on, let’s see if you die first or I die first.” Seeing the actions of this little thing, she knew that it was threatening her.
But she did not feel angered, but rather thought the situation was quite funny.
Even if the cliff was twice as high as it was now, it would not matter if she fell off.
But, she hadn’t had this experience for a long time…..

“You can go play first, I will come find you later.”

Qianhe Liyou stepped down from Mo Ling and patted Mo Ling to indicate that it was free to go, but Mo Ling seemed a bit reluctant, pacing around Qianhe Liyou and refusing to leave.

“Go, I will find you in the future.’ Mo Ling finally left after Qianhe Liyou’s word of reassurance, but Qianhe Liyou sensed that there seemed to be someone else here.
This familiar presence seemed to be Qin Ning?

It did not appear like he had followed her, otherwise, she would have definitely already discovered this fact.
It was most likely that he had arrived here one step earlier than her, but it had nothing to do with her now.
She only wanted to do one thing right now.

Qianhe Liyou closed her eyes, and then under Qin Ning’s gasp of surprise, she jumped off the cliff!

Qin Nin could not believe his own eyes, but what he had witnessed was reality.
With his lightning quick reflexes, he immediately pounced off the cliff, wanting to catch Qianhe Liyou, but the speed at which Qianhe Liyou fell was too fast.
After falling for tens of meters, he grabbed Qianhe Liyou’s hand, but that was merely grasping a falling object.
The two of them fell together and fell for about another ten meters.
Amongst Qin Ning’s panic, he unexpectedly caught sight of a tree growing out of the rocks approaching fast below and was overjoyed.
He grabbed the branches with a ferocious burst of energy and breath, tightly grabbing it.
But, to his disappointment, the branches only temporarily slowed down their fall and before he could celebrate, the branch could not stand their force and splintered.

Qianhe Liyou gazed at Qin Ning with some surprise.
She had considered many possibilities but she would have never expected that Qin Ning would jump down after her.
She did not understand his current thoughts, but she saw him holding her own hand tightly.
She felt that she should give Qin Ning a chance to reveal his thoughts…

Qianhe Liyou saw this was the right time and stretched out the hand that was not held by Qin Ning and grabbed a protruding stone.
The mana concealed in her palm allowed her to keep her grip, and the pair swayed in midair in a very thrilling manner.

“Why did you jump down?” He would die if he jumped down like this.
She did not think he had thought about such a possibility.

“Are you crazy? If it wasn’t for you jumping down, I wouldn’t have jumped down with you! This is what I should be asking you! What are you trying to do, do you no longer want to live?” Qin Nin had never felt like he had been so out of control.
He even forgot that this person in front of him was the incomparable Empress, her Majesty.
He just could not understand why someone would jump off the cliff like a madman!

“Let’s say I am crazy and decided to jump, but then does that mean you are crazy as well?” She had never seen Qin Ning like this before.
The Qin Ning she saw was always arrogant and indifferent, and this was the first time she had seen him lose his usual composure.
However, she felt that this Qin Ning was much more human, no longer like a cold mannequin, icy and unpleasant.

“Yes, I’m crazy.
I am so crazy that I jumped down to save you.
And then, just like a fool, right here and right now, I am talking to you like this.
Qianhe Liyou, tell me, do you not want to live anymore? You are a dignified Empress, but suddenly jumping off a cliff, If you are not crazy, then the crazy one must be me!”

“Tsk tsk, calling the Empress’ name directly, this is truly rebellious.
Qin Ning, ha, ha, ha ….seeing you like this, zhen is truly happy.”

“You, you have completely lost it! You are truly crazy!” Qin Ning felt like he was going crazy too!

At this time, a gleam of golden light flashed in Qianhe Liyou’s eyes, and she moved her hands deliberately, as if she was unable to grasp the rocks any longer.
The bodies of the two people dangling in midair also shook with the movement.

Qin Ning finally calmed down, beginning to face the extremely dangerous situation the two people were in at the time.

“What should we do?” They could not fly nor could they touch the ground, these two people could fall at any time.
Just what was to be done?

“Do you want to go up or down?” What can be done? Naturally, if it was not going up, then it was going down.

“Of course it is going up…Ah, you, you deliberately jumped down, butwhy are you doing this, are you trying to commit suicide? But, how could this be possible? Or did you jump down knowing nothing would happen to you? Is your martial arts prowess so advanced?”

After calming down, Qin Ning finally let his brain begin to function normally and he began to rationalize the reasons why the Empress jumped off the cliff.
But after thinking about it, his thoughts only led to one possibility, that is, the Empress had voluntarily jumped off and as for the reason, only the Empress herself would know!

“Don’t worry, just enjoy this feeling!” Qianhe Liyou’s smiling expression appeared on her face again, and then the two of them began to rapidly plummet into the air below.
