Origin Awakening [ Genesis Born ]

In the Skie of City of Berg, stood a being with two horns in its head and tanned skin.

He was the demon called Abaddon The 8th. As one of the servants of Demon king of current era, he held the power of summoning. But his Unique skill Snatcher allowed him to get the stats points of the foes he had defeated.

But being a summoner he only held low power in the ranks of demons. He could only summon beings with same power as him. Which made it hard to gain more strength. He didn thought about killing his own summons so that he can gather strength without working hard.

The summoned monsters cannot hurt their summoner. So he used this to make sure that he put them down with his contract and killed them.

He killed the his first summoned monsters amounting 5 due to his low magic power. After killing them, he was able to get stronger and summon stronger foes by continuing same procedure. He didn felt any discomfort while killing his own summons.

He was a demon. Every demon wanted to be use to the demon king. He too. But he didn had the power. But after getting stronger than more demons, he caught the eyes of the demon king.

Later he became a High level demon . So the demon king send him here to destroy the small human settlement to check his strength.

He was now fighting against his enemies including three humans. They were stronger than a average low level demon. But he didn had any problem with this since he was a high level demon.

But was acting like he was almost out of energy. Which the humans believed as he was only giving off an air of weakest of high ranking demon. As the humans he was fighting began to feel tired he smiled inside his mind. His plan was going smoothly. If he could defeat this strong humans he could get even stronger. If he was lucky he could even get a skill from his defeated enemies.

He was dreaming of getting even stronger as he shook his inner thoughts aside and revealed his true colors to the humans.

”Whats the matter…? Perhaps you are tired.. hm? ”

He saw the girl who looked too young to be this strong asking him with a disturbed tone.

”You think you can show that creepy smile all the time…? You are just like us… tired… almost out of energy… even so you still smile…? ”

He continued smiling and answered :

”I can still smile… After all seeing the troubled expression of a human is very exciting… ”

He said as he changed his expression to that of a predator setting gaze on its prey.

”You seriously think that I am tired…? ”

He asked something which made all of them vary of his words..

”What do you.. –?! ”

Before the girl could finish her words, the three humans were stupidified by the scene in front of them. Abaddons body felt warm as his wounds began healing itself. After seconds his body was back to normal like nothing happened till now.

The humans felt their minds answering them :

We were played by him

”It felt exciting to act like a weakling and feeling despair of my enemies. It is very good idea to try this again. ”

The demons words send shock to the three humans.

Were they worng about their strength…? Will they die…? Will the humans go extinct…? Questions were raised in their minds…..

”You were playing with us…!? Shameful demon..! Do you not have pride…!? ”

The girl asked as she felt very angry and shame…

”Pride…? Listen to me little girl… In this world strength is everything. If you don have it then, you will be prey for a strong being. The same go for me too. But that doesn mean you have play fair to win. This is a war and winning it with whatever you can use is called a strategy. I simply outplayed your brains.Thats all! ”

He explained as he felt his victory and strength waiting for him.He raised his hands on air and called his flames skill he got from a enemy he defeated.A large ball of flame was created from his fingertips. He was about to throw it at the humans. But…

THUMP….

His movement was stopped as he felt his heart beating like a drum. He didn know what it is. His feeling is telling him to run… But what can make a high level demon run because of such feeling…? He searched around with his eyes as he was looking for someone or something.

The humans who were not ready to even protect themselves from the demons attack due to the magic power consumption had a question mark on their head as they wondered why were they safe.

”That was a very interesting speech. ”

Everyones gaze fell on a being as they followed the voice. They watched someone hovering on the sky as that being was looking down at the drama that was going on as demon as the center.

Abaddon who saw this being in the sky began to think. He was a wise one. He was wondering what to do as he found an unknown enemy. The most troublesome thing was, that this being came here without being detected by the four people. The second was that, he couldn see through the incoming enemy.

No in the first place he didn know if the person in the air is an enemy or ally.

Who is he…? Seeing the confused faces of the three humans, I can tell that he is not their friend. Atleast not someone from here.. Even so, either he is someone strong enough to hide under my detection abilities or he has some kind of skill to hide which surpasses my own detection skill. May be he is trying to buy time for his friends..? But first I have to check this humans strength.

He pointed his hand at the person in the air and shot a green colored beam with speed that surpassed the vision of the three humans lying on the ground as they watched this sight.

The beam traveled in seconds and reached the person.

BOOM!!!!…..

It hit. It was a clean hit. Abaddon was relieved as he felt his attack hit the enemy. But his relief turned to confusion as he heard voice familiar…

”Tch…tch… To think that you would attack someone out of nowhere… What a bad demon… ”

He saw a figure in the smoke talking to him. As the smoke cleared he saw an unscathed human cleaning his clothes.

Abaddons face tightened in this sight. It was one of his trump cards. Seeing an unknown enemy made him just throw the attack at him.

If he is unscathed after such attack… that means he is strong. If so, I can be sure about defeating him. Then Ill try to negotiate.

He was thinking as he felt the seriousness of the situation. He breathed out and looked at the person in the air.

”Excuse me for my rudeness.I am Abaddon the 8th.I am the 8th son of Great Demon Lord Agabath who serves the mighty Demon king. If you don mind me asking who you are….? ”

He was being respectful as much as he can to avoid a worst case scenario. Feeling amused at the demons words, the human smiled and answered him.

”You have good manners…. Well, if its a introduction then theres no problem. I am called Oz. I am a mage serving the king of the kingdom of Warlond. ”

Alec was floating in the air as he introduced himself as Oz to the demon. Oz was a character in the movie he saw once back in his home. He decided to use it to hide his identity.

”Oz huh… Then Mr.Oz! May I ask if we can talk…? ”

”Hm… So you wanna negotiate after seeing that your attack failed huh… You are one brainy fellow.Very well. Lets hear it.. ”

He answered as he already had what to do in his mind.

”Thank you! Then if you don mind me asking…Do you have any plans to change your sides…? ”

The question made the three S – rank Adventurers mind go blank as they realized what will happen if such a powerhouse leave their side. They were about to interfere with their talk as Abaddon put pressure on them.

”You should stay still. I am now talking aren I…?! ”

He asked as his piercing gaze fell on the adventurers.

”Hm… So what you are asking is if I can fight for the demon king abandoning the human side…? ”

”Thats right. But I don think it is a very bad offer. His majesty will welcome you and prize you with money, women and power. What can a human king give…? ”

Alec smiled inside his mind as he was feeling humorous of the demons words.

”Money…? Women…? Sorry but I don need anything like thay. ”

”Then.. ”

He was about to ask Alec again with another goal in his mind as Alec stopped him midway and asked Abaddon.

”Let me ask you something too… Can you betray the Demon King and serve the humans…? ”

Abaddon felt his head filled with rage as he screamed loudly at Alec.

”HUMAN…! HOW DARE YOU ASK ME TO BETRAY MY KING…!? HE IS– ”

His words stopped midway as he felt the air around him change. His body hairs was standing still like a electrocuted metal. He looked at Alec to see a smile in his face.

”You cannot betray your king while you are asking me to betray my people…? You are indeed wise but not enough to see another day. ”

Abaddon understood what he meant by that. He activated his teleportation stone he got from his king. He could fight. But not knowing the enemys full strength is a setback. The only thing he will lose pride and some strength he was about to get from the humans he defeated.

But he saw the crystal shining blue and not teleporting him. He was confused. But later became a frown as he heard Alecs words.

”Don even try to escape. I sealed the space with a barrier. So it impossible for you to escape via teleportation. ”

”…!? So its either win or lose huh… ”

Alec smiled again as he felt that it was easy since his enemy understood.

They both stared at each other as the fight was about to start. Abaddon moved extremely faster towards Alec. But seeing Alec not responding, and staying still like a statue, he understood that his enemy was weak to speed. Then he remembered that Alec was a Mage named Oz. If so he had an advantage in close combat battle.

”HAHAHA…!! You can even see me huh…? I will quickly send you off t— ”

as he felt a heavy pain on his stomach. Returning to his sense he was able to understand that he was inside the forest, crashed on to the trees. He felt weak. Thinking fastly, he understood what was happening.

This time his opponent played him. Then he felt a chilling coldness coming towards him. He stared at the air as he saw Alec wielding a sword that looked like a glass piece. An heavy aura was given from the sword. He still didn felt anything from the human.

”Please…? Don … guhh…! Kill me…! ”

He pleaded as he saw no way of him escaping. He was Vomiting blood at the same time.

”Why are you pleading…? Didn you did the same to your preys…? So why should I let you go…? ”

”Thats right! I will serve you! Please forgive me…! ”

He groveled his head in the ground feeling he will be saved.

”Okay. ”

Alec answered him almost suddenly. Abaddon felt that Alec was being too naive. So he planned ahead to kill Alec while being happy for keeping him alive. But he saw despair after Alecs next words.

”Only if you go and tell the demon king that ” I quit from you shitty country and became the servant of your Grandfather Oz ”.Can you…? ”

”Are you crazy..!? I will not live to say the remaining words before I even complete it! ”

Alec smiled again at the demon and said with piercing gaze of his own.

”Then your offer is finished here. Bye bye… ”

”W—wait.. —!? ”

Alec brandished his sword at the demon without even allowing him to finish. The aura of the sword hit Abaddon as he turned to frozen ice even before the sword touched him. But on the touch of the sword his body was sliced to two.

Alec cleaned his sword with water magic and sheathed it. Feeling the presence of three humans he turned towards the S – rank Adventurers.

”..!? .. You killed him.. by yourself…?! ”

Viper the little girl asked Alec with a surprise.

”Thats right. ”

”Could it be that you are a SS or SSS – rank Adventurer..? ”

She asked him out of curiosity. She saw someone killing a high level demon by himself. Of course she would be curious. Alec feeling not knowing what to say decided his words.

”Its a secret. Tell everyone that the demon has been taken care of. Also you should return. But I think the behemoth has been taken care of. ”

”.. What!!? ”

She was amazed. He was able to sense the battle from such a far length. Who is he..? Another reason she was amazed was that someone took care of the behemoth. It was a high defensive monster. It can survive her whole powered attack head on. Such monster is taken care of. Such was an amazing news.

She was about to ask more about Alec as she saw no one there. She looked around and see the surprised faces if her teammates.

”Where did he go…!? ”

She asked but the others shrugged their shoulders as they too didn know. She stared at the sky and sighed heavily. She placed her eyes on the demons corpse as she closed her eyes under her mask…..
