Overcoming The Odds(Move To New Link)

Paulo arrives to the training complex of the Parma C.F, the teams new coach Ale Piola is set take on his next challenge, he comes up with some new ideas of training his players that can bond them well with each other on and off the pitch. Piola on his very first day as a head coach of the team makes remarkable impression among the players. Piola with his frank and versatile personality made him loved by the players and because of his healthy relationship with them. Paulo seemingly also wanted him to his coach as well and shown his full trust and Piola also want him to play for his team in future but still it will be quite not easy for him because right now hes not even stepped into world of professional football.

Piola with his players starts their training for the upcoming relegation play off match against A.F Bologna which is going take place next week in their home ground. All the players seems to be focused for their next match because if they loose the match they will be relegated to second division for the next season. Piola also knows it well but doesn want his players to be tensed about it because all he wants that the players should try to create a great chemistry with each other on the pitch so that they could become a better team. After the warm up players start their training session, players seems to be very happy with Piolas new ideas of training which makes them more comfortable to combine with each other. Piola was impressed by his team adapting his new style of play that he wanted from his team but he was more impressed by Paulo even though he is not a professional player for the team and is not going play the next match hes still showing his full dedication in the training, his attitude and commitment towards the training was making him an exception from the other players. Paulo is combining well with the other players, his fun loving attitude, humorous nature made him quickly loved by his teammates.

President Salvatore from the window of his office was deeply observing Paulo meanwhile his Secretary came up with some paperwork to do however Salvatore wasn much intrested in it instead he orders him to call Piola as he wanted to have some conversation with him. Secretary brings Piola with him to his office for the conversation hes going to have with Salvatore

”I want you to play Paulo in our next match ” Salvatore said, Piola was quiet surprised by it.

Piola somehow trying to explain that Paulo might not be a right idea to step him up in such a important match but Salvatore sticks with his decision and wants him to play Paulo as a substitute of Lorenzo. Piola unconvinced by his decision agrees to it and leaves.

”Are you going to offer him a contract ? ” Salvatores secretary asked him, Salvatore said no, not now.

The secretary was a bit confused, Salvatore explains that Paulo will only get the contract if he performs tremendously in his first match. Salvatores secretary tries to make him understand that technically as well as practically not possible to let Paulo play without a contract and if they do so then it will a misconduct of the regulations of governing body in Italian Football Association and might have to face heavy consequences for that misconduct.

”Nobody will know anything about this because I really want him to see how hard hell go to sign his professional contract ” Salvatore said. His secretary warns him if the governing body gets to know about it, even if they still win the match they will be relegated. Salvatore wasn worried about the consequences they have to face and advised him to keep it between them.

Piola in the training field informs Paulo that president wants him to play in next match as a substitute of Lorenzo. Paulo doesn know how to react, he simply thanks his coach for giving him a chance as it seems that hes ready for it. However Piola is still concerned about Paulo because he never played at club football before and is going to be difficult for him to play at such a high level with no experience. Paulo tells Fabio that president asked him to play in the next match as a substitute, Fabio was happy for his friend but Paulo was a bit nervous because he never played club football. Fabio motivates his friend and tells not to worry because he will be there for him.

”Did you singned the contract ? ” Fabio asked Paulo, he said no.

”Then how on earth you
e allowed to play in our next match ? ” Fabio said.

Paulo is new to club football and doesn know how the system works. Fabio explained him about the whole process and how actually the footballing system works. Paulo after knowing everything about the club system, many questions and doubts start raising inside his head.

Fabio suggests his friend to ask the president Salvatore about his contract before the end of the training session. Paulo first told Piola about his contract

”I don know anything about your contract, president just told me to make you play as a substitute of Lorenzo in the upcoming match, I just found neccessary to let you thats why informed you ” Piola said. Paulo finally decided to talk with president about his contract. The sun has gone down, lights are turned on Piola ends his first training session as a head coach, adviced his players to stay positive as theyll meet again next day.

Paulo goes to meet the president Salvatore about his contract, he meets him at the parking area. Paulo ask Salvatore that why went him to play in upcoming relegation match against A.F Bologna and without signing a contract.

”Youll get your contract just don worry about it, just stay calm and focus on his debut match, I will give you the contract when it is a right, no rush ok ” Salvatore said. President Salvatore drives his car out of the parking lot while standing feeling suspicious about him.

Fabio sitting in his car waiting for Paulo to come. Paulo arrives in his car feeling terrible.

”You
e not quite looking good is there something happened ? ”. Paulo tells him that he met the president Salvatore to about his contract but Salvatore ignored the talks and just passed the matter, hes feeling very suspicious about his honesty.

Fabio calms his friend and advices him to trust their president, hell surely offer him a contract because hes such a great player. Fabio drives his car out of the training complex.
