What are you doing over there?”

The Empress Dowager meticulously cared for Lucian.

Thanks to that, the banquet was very peaceful. 

Erica, who attacked me with all her might, went into a corner with a sour face and could not be seen.

I was about to run to Lucian, but I changed my mind.

After a long look at all the pins, Lucian said with a stress-filled face. 

“I think this, that, and that would all suit her.”

Paul, standing next to him with hazy eyes, answered skillfully as if he had heard those same words many times before. 

“Then let’s buy everything.” 

So Lucian bought all the hairpins on display. 

The store owner, who sold a week’s worth of pins at once, said with a capitalist’s smile.

“Everything you bought was a popular choice! I’m sure the gift recipient will love it!” 

Lucian’s eyes lowered gently at those words. 

“I hope so.” 

That smile was so pretty. 

My heart was pounding, so I couldn’t pretend to not know Lucian that day. 

That was a few days ago. 

I’m thinking about it now.
This was the biggest worry of mine since I became Pernia. 

Lucian’s birthday was just around the corner!

‘It’s my first boyfriend’s birthday since we started dating!’ 

What would he like? 

I’ve received so much from Lucian while I haven’t given him many presents. 

Should I get him the cake that he often bought, or do something like taking him to the shop and buying him clothes?

Anne braided my curly purple hair to one side and decorated it with numerous small flowers.

Afterwards, she put on a flower-shaped ornament made of diamonds on my head. 

Anne said with a proud face. 

“You look really beautiful, Miss.
I’m sure Sir Kardien will be pleased!” 

“Really?.” 

“Of course!” 

With Anne’s support, I headed to Lucian’s mansion. 

It was Paul, his aide, who greeted me.

Paul greeted me without surprise because I had already told him about this.

Lord Lucian is out as scheduled.
He’ll be back in the evening.” 

I said, nodding delightedly. 

“Thank you for letting me know, Paul.
You may leave.” 

No matter how loyal Paul may be, the sweetness of leaving work early was unbeatable. 

Paul rambled on, packing his bag.

“I’m leaving because the lady asked me to.
It’s not an unauthorized leave.
You must tell Lord Lucian that part.”
