Looking in the direction of Huo Chen’s gaze, Wen He could guess what was in his mind.
Flustered by his hardheadedness, Wen He went ahead and bit his earlobe.
The sweet taste of blood began to spread in her mouth and she suddenly realized that this would anger Huo Chen.
She regretted her actions.
Blood oozed out of the wound.
Wen He pressed her lips together and fawned.
“I—I didn’t mean it.”

Huo Chen did not even make a sound but just shot Wen He a cold look.

“It looks serious.
I will take you to the hospital.” Wen He was not as drunk as it seemed; she was just feigning it.
Wen He became nervous and used a tissue paper to hold the bleeding down seeing that he bled profusely.

“Get out of my sight before I lose my temper!” Huo Chen was sullen.
He flailed Wen He’s hand away and pressed his fingers on the earlobe to give it some pressure.

“Okay! I will leave.
Please remember to go to the hospital! Think about what I have said, or I will come back to bother you again.” Instead of seeking his favor, Wen He had offended Huo Chen.
Feeling embarrassed, she quickly left the room.

After Wen He left, Huo Chen took out the phone and called his assistant.
He closed his eyes and sat at the same spot for a few minutes before getting to his feet and left.

The assistant had arrived downstairs, waiting at the side of the car.
Seeing him holding down his bleeding ear, the assistant immediately opened the door for Huo Chen and sped toward the direction of the hospital.

Something unexpected happened after dressing the wound and walking out of the hospital.
Huo Chen bumped into Granny Huo and was forced to return inside.

But the sky was clear today with the sun shining brightly overhead.

It was not as busy as before in Thunderbolt Corp.
On the leisure weekend, a thought suddenly came to Lu Zhaoyang’s mind; she wanted to pay a visit to the Huo family.
Last night, her mom, Xue Yuming, had called; her voice sounded as if she had caught a severe cold.
So, Lu Zhaoyang thought that she should visit her mom one more time before she went abroad.
But since Xuxu did not like going there, Lu Zhaoyang left the child with Lin Yazhi while she was away for a short while.

After getting off the plane, Lu Zhaoyang took a taxi and arrived at the Huo’s residence.
Upon arriving at the living room, she was surprised to see Granny Huo sitting there with her mom Xue Yuming standing anxiously on the side.
Lu Zhaoyang was not prepared for this.
It looked like it was going to be a bad day ahead but it was too late to turn around and leave.
So, she could only force a smile and went up to greet the granny.

The granny got to her feet and suddenly slapped Lu Zhaoyang on the face.
The loud slap left a burning pain on Lu Zhaoyang’s right cheek.
The granny’s trembling hand stayed in the air.
Her wrinkled face twitching in anger.

Lu Zhaoyang gasped and was glad that she did not bring the child along.
Ignoring the pain on her face, she turned to look calmly at the granny.
“Give me a reason for slapping me.”

The granny was so upset and almost passed out seeing Lu Zhaoyang’s indignant look and her questioning voice.
Tears started to swell in the granny’s eyes and she had a lump in her throat.
“Lu Zhaoyang, you could have directed your grudges against me! Why did you do that to my son?” The granny could no longer hold back her grief and broke out in tears.
