Chapter 428: Family Comes First…

When elder Lu entered the home and saw Jiang Yuyan standing in the living room, ready to welcome them, he went towards her.
“Happy birthday, My love.” 

“Thank you, Grandpa,” Jiang Yuyan replied while smiling pleasantly.
After elder Lu, everyone wished her one by one and all sat in the living room. 

“Where is Lu Qiang?” elder Lu asked as not seeing him around, and he thought Lu Qiang must be in Jiang residence as it was Jiang Yuyan's birthday.

“He had to go to the office as there was something important to attend,” Jiang Yuyan replied and Lu Jinhai said, “He will be here soon, father.”

Hearing it, the pleasant expressions on elder Lu's face converted into the cold one.
Looking at his son Lu Jinhai, he exclaimed, “On such an important day can't you people keep your work aside? Have you forgotten that family comes first and then other things?” 

Seeing elder Lu angry, not just Lu Jinhai but others kept silent too.
Everyone knew his whole life elder Lu always gave importance to the family first and taught his children and grandchildren to do the same.
Money and power was never his priority.
He always said, if you don't value your family, then having money and other things are useless.
Sharing happiness while being among his family was always better than having pockets full of money.

“Grandpa, he will…” Jiang Yuyan was trying to say something just then a voice interrupted her.

“I am sorry, Grandpa.” That was Lu Qiang who just came back and when Jiang Yang welcomed him and led his way to the living room, Lu Qiang saw, his grandpa was upset and heard what he said.

Hearing an apology from Lu Qiang, elder Lu calmed down and excusing himself, Lu Qiang went upstairs to get freshened up. 

It was rare to see Lu Qiang apologizing to anyone for anything as he hardly did anything that needed him to apologize for.
Lu Qiang was not wrong as it was an emergency and he had to go out at any cost even though he didn't want to but he had to go as he was president of huge conglomerate and lives of a huge number of employees depended on him. 

Knowing how much his grandpa valued the family, Lu Qiang apologized though he was not wrong.
For him, what his grandpa taught since he was a kid, he never forgot it- family comes first and to date, he tried his best to keep the entire family together. 

Seeing Lu Qiang apologizing to his grandpa sincerely, all felt glad and though how much he valued his grandpa.

Jiang Yuyan noticed that all were present but Lu Lijun was not there so she asked, “Grandpa, where is Lu Lijun?”

Elder Lu felt puzzled and said while looking around, “He was ready to come here, where is he?”

Ning Jiahui replied.
“Father, he is coming with Lu Feng.”

In some time, Lu Feng and Lu Lijun arrived there.
Both went to Jiang Yuyan and wished her.

They looked at Jiang Yang and he slightly nodded as if they were conversing about something through signals.
After spending some time with everyone, Lu Feng, Jiang Yang and Lu Lijun excused themselves to go upstairs, saying they will be back soon.
Jiang Yang asked one servant to follow them.
No one thought these three were up to something and didn't bother to ask anything. 

When they went upstairs, Jiang Yang asked a servant to bring two huge boxes from his room and all went inside Jiang Yuyan's room.

“Are you sure she won't come back to her room?” Lu Feng asked while opening the boxes that the servant kept on the bed and Lu Lijun helped to open another box.

“Don't worry, she won't and even if she will try to come here, we have a way to stop her.” Jiang Yang replied, looking at the stuff inside the box.
“Good work, Lu Lijun.”

“Thank you, Brother Yang,” Lu Lijun replied while pulling out the stuff out of the box. 

“Let's finish it faster before she will come here looking for us,” Jiang Yang said, and all three started to work on.

When a servant was taking aways the boxes, Lu Qiang was going to freshen up, so he knew what was going on.
After getting ready, he went to Jiang Yuyan's room and saw these people doing their work with full concentration. 

“Let's hang it here.
What do you think, Lu Lijun?” Lu Feng asked.

“It's looking good brother,” Lu Lijun replied and said, “I will hang it here so it will move along the wind.”

“That's a nice idea.
Let me help you.” Saying Jiang Yang went to Lu Lijun in front of the huge glass window in Jiang Yuyan's room.

When all three were about to finish their work, Lu Lijun saw Lu Qiang was standing near the door and asked, “Brother, how is it?”

“It's nice and I am sure she will like it.” Saying Lu Qiang went to where these three were standing.
He picked up some stuff from the box and started to help them.
Looking at him, Jiang Yang said, “Doing these things doesn't suit President Lu.
Let these peasants do it.”

“I don't mind being a peasant for my woman,” Lu Qiang said and continued what he was doing.

Soon they finished the work and went downstairs.
All were talking to each other and once these four went downstairs, the servant brought cake. 

Looking at the beautiful cake, Ning Jiahui said, “I am sure it was made by Mo Ruolan.”

Smiling Mo Ruolan replied, “Jiang Yuyan likes the cake made by me.”

“Not just Yuyan, I also like the cake made by you, Mom, but I don't remember when you made such effort on my birthday, since so long,” Jiang Yang said and his father, Jiang Peizhi sided with him too, “My son, I too don't remember if she treated me special like this on my birthday.
I almost forgot how the cake made by her, taste.”
